2-B.I.T. is a character/machine in Deathloop.

Background[]

2-B.I.T. is a self-aware machine constructed by Charlie Montague containing a chunk of his own brain (extracted by Wenjie Evans). 2-B.I.T. serves as Charlie Montague's computational games master, running all systems within his castle base, and monitoring the players of Containment Detachment. Before the First Day, a meeting took place in which 2-B.I.T.'s voice was considered "hilarious", prompting Montague to unsuccessfully attempt to make the robot sound intelligent, rather than firing his staff again.[1] 2-B.I.T. is modified with an editing suite, allowing users to take existing recordings and use them to create pre-recorded announcements and messages,[2] as 2-B.I.T. is responsible for sending out all public address broadcasts throughout Blackreef.[3]

2-B.I.T. is also capable of remembering what happens from loop to loop, thanks to Charlie's extracted brain serving as 2-B.I.T.'s "bio processor."

2-B.I.T. has Condition Detachment Game Manager mode with 3 options that can be executed by Colt. At first each option should be unlocked.

  • Select an Invader - This option is unlocked after hacking 2-B.I.T. in Fristad Rock in the Afternoon. It allows to switch Invader role from Colt to Charlie or Julianna. After that all Eternalists will begin to hunt a new Invader.
  • Ignite rocket engine - This option is unlocked after hearing dialog between Eternalists near the rocket. It requires 5 installed batteries to operate and kills everybody on the uppermost floor (orbital) on ignition.
  • Evacuate all personnel from the Planet - This option is unlocked after reading Safety Versus Death note. All Eternalists will leave Condition Detachment on execution.

2-B.I.T. agrees to execute only 1 option only once and then revokes Colt rights to do it. But after bringing The Runt, 2-B.I.T. grants Power User rights to Colt and restores all options.
