Slabs are in-game items which grant your character unique abilities. The slabs were created and handed out by Wenjie Evans prior to the events of Deathloop.
Some slabs (Reprise and Masquerade) are unique to certain player characters, and cannot be taken from or unequipped from their host player. Only two additional slabs can be held at a time, so the player must be tactical in deciding which powers they want.
List of known slabs[]
- Aether - held by Egor Serling
- Havoc - held by Fia Zborowska
- Karnesis - held by Aleksis Dorsey
- Masquerade - held by Julianna Blake
- Nexus - held by Harriet Morse
- Reprise - held by Colt Vahn
- Shift - held by Charlie Montague
- FugueGL- held by Gabe Chadjavich AKA The Garbage Collector
Slab Upgrades[]
When collecting a Slab the player already has, they will instead be rewarded with an Upgrade specific to that slab. These Upgrades change or improve upon the Slab's ability, and are listed under their related Abilities.
- An Ability can be enhanced with up to 2 Upgrades
- The order in which Upgrades are received is random, but you will never receive the same upgrade twice
- i.e you'll complete the collection by collecting and infusing a slab 5 times, once for the first version and then its 4 updates
- This could potentially take 5 loops to collect a single slab, though as Juliana also drops Slabs it could be many less.
- The Slab in question does not need to be equipped to collect an upgrade.
- Upgrades must be infused separately.
- Interestingly, the game file counts these as "Slab Trinkets".
Harvesting[]
When you have collected all the upgrades for a Slab, instead you will have the option to harvest it like Residuum[1] from corpses or found in the world.
Infusion and Sacrificing[]
- Slab: 15'000 Infuse | 5000 Sacrifice
- Upgrade 10'000 Infuse | 5000 Sacrifice
